My voice cloning project for a podcast intro went weird last Friday

I was using a new AI tool to clone my voice for a short intro, but after feeding it 30 minutes of clean audio, the output sounded like a cartoon chipmunk. I had to scrap the whole thing and re-record the old-fashioned way. Has anyone else had an AI voice model just completely break on them?

Honestly I think you're blaming the tool for user error here. Feeding it half an hour of audio should be more than enough for a decent clone, so maybe your recording settings were off. Tbh a lot of people jump on new AI stuff without reading the setup guide first. It's way more likely you missed a step than the whole model just broke for no reason.

Heard a tech podcast talk about this. They said some models just get confused by certain vocal tones.
