Rant: Paid $130 for an AI copywriting course, got the same free tips from 2019

Last spring I figured I should finally catch up with the AI tools everyone was hyping. Found this course from a guy with 40k followers, promised to turn my writing into an automated income machine. Spent $130, watched 6 hours of videos, and honestly it was just recycled blog posts about prompting basics. The only real tip was to ask the AI to pretend to be a journalist, which I already knew from a tutorial in 2021. The free ChatGPT guide from OpenAI had better examples than half the course. I felt like such a mark when I realized the guy probably used AI to write the whole thing anyway. Has anyone else gotten burned by these guru courses, or did someone actually find one that was worth the money? What did it cover that you couldn't get from a quick YouTube search?

Saw the same “pretend to be a journalist” trick in a free Reddit post from 2022, so yeah, you got fleeced.
