Saw a robot making coffee at a gas station in Boise

It was a full machine with arms, not just a fancy vending box. The whole process was smooth, but the coffee tasted a bit flat, like it missed the human touch. Does anyone think these service bots will ever get the small details right?

That flat taste is exactly what I'm worried about. It's like the machine can measure the beans and water perfectly, but it can't tell if the grind is a little off that day or if the milk is steamed just a second too long. My local diner guy knows to make mine with an extra scoop. Can a robot ever learn that kind of thing?

@faith_schmidt I can't even get my toaster right, so robots are way ahead of me.

Yeah, that's the part that just feels off, like it's missing the soul of the thing.
