Switched my stance on AI writing tools after a disaster at work
I was prepping orders in the kitchen last Thursday and my coworker used an AI generator to write the daily specials board, but it made up a dish with ingredients we didn't even stock. The manager had to explain to three tables why we couldn't make "truffle foam flatbread" when we don't even have a truffle in the building. Has anyone else had an AI tool get basic facts dead wrong like that?

Man that truffle foam flatbread thing is brutal. I had something similar happen when a coworker used an AI to draft a menu description and it listed "hand pulled mozzarella" as an ingredient. We buy ours pre-shredded in a bag from Sysco. The owner got yelled at by a customer who was really into artisanal cheese and it was this whole awkward thing. It's crazy how confidently the tools just make stuff up with zero checking. Feels like it's gotten worse lately too.

Pre-shredded Sysco mozzarella being called "hand pulled" is genuinely hilarious. I'm not even mad at the AI for that one, that's just pure chaos.
