Appreciation post: Moving from paper to pixels in aircraft maintenance
I remember when every job meant carrying heavy binders full of paper manuals. The pages often got smudged or lost, and flipping through them took forever. A while ago, I decided to stop using printed copies and switched to a tablet for all my guides. During a rainy shift, water dripped from the roof, but my digital files were safe and dry. This change helped me find information quickly and cut down on mistakes. It took some time to get used to, but now I rely on it every day. What old habits have you let go of that made your job easier?

Guess paper manuals never stood a chance against a leaky roof, huh?

Watched my buddy's repair manual turn into a papier-mache blob last spring. His basement flooded and the box got soaked. All the pages for his furnace swelled up and the ink just ran, every diagram a blurry mess. He spent days trying to dry it page by page, but most just tore or stuck together. Totally useless, had to buy the digital version anyway.
