Finally got that old Cessna 172's oil leak to stop after three tries

The plane had been dripping from the accessory case for months, and we tried new gaskets and sealant with no luck. Turns out the mounting bolts were just a bit loose, and torquing them to spec with a proper inch-pound wrench fixed it right up. What's the most stubborn small leak you've had to chase down?

Chasing a leak on the oil cooler lines of my old truck was a real pain. Ended up being a hairline crack in the flare fitting that you could only see with a magnifying glass after cleaning it spotless. Had to replace the whole line to finally get it to stop weeping.

Did you try any stop-leak stuff first or just go straight for the new line?
