I think torque seal gets misused more than it helps
Every audit I've been part of, people slap that paint on like it's decoration. It's supposed to show a fastener hasn't moved, but I've seen guys mark the bolt head and the nut separately instead of across both. That tells you nothing if the whole assembly rotates together. I noticed this on a landing gear retract arm last month in Phoenix, and when I pointed it out, the lead said it was fine. Has anyone else had to fight this at their base, or am I the only one who treats torque seal like an actual record?
