Just swapped out a set of old bleed air valves on a 737.

They were from a 2005 build. The new ones from the 2023 batch have a different internal coating. The old ones would start sticking around 800 flight hours. The new design is supposed to go 1500 before needing a clean. Saw the difference on the borescope, way less carbon buildup. Anyone else run into this on the NG models yet?

Seriously, wonder if the coating change messes with the heat tolerance at all.

Wait, they were only lasting 800 hours? That's crazy.
