My torque wrench vs the old beam style finally settled it

Last month at the hangar in Wichita I had to torque the main gear bolts on a 737, my digital Snap-On kept beeping at 250 ft-lbs but the bolt still felt loose. I grabbed my buddy Joe's old beam torque wrench, a Proto from the 80s, and it clicked at 265. The digital unit was off by 15, probably needs calibration, but that beam style never lies. Anyone else trust the old analog tools over the fancy ones, or am I just stuck in my ways?
