Soaked a stuck row of fasteners in Kroil for 3 days and they still laughed at me
Working a flap track lube job on a King Air 200 here in Spokane and ran into a row of screws that had not moved since the Clinton days. Soaked them in Kroil for 3 days, tapped them, even warmed the panel with a heat gun, and two of them still rounded out on me. Ended up drilling one and it walked about half a thread off center, which ate my afternoon. Turns out the guy who had the plane before me used red Loctite on panel screws, which is a choice I do not understand. What is everyone's go-to for screws somebody glued in with the wrong stuff?
