Took a 19 year old kid under my wing and it paid off today
We had a C-check drag on at the hangar in Boise and this new guy kept second guessing himself on the torque wrench settings. I told him about my first year at Southwest and how I stripped a stud on a flap track because I was too proud to ask. He watched me walk through the whole AMM manual step by step, then he asked if he could do the next one himself. He nailed it clean, and I realized teaching it again is the best way to stay sharp. Anyone else find that mentoring someone makes you double check your own habits more than a QA audit does?
