A guy in Phoenix said my keypad placement was all wrong and it bugged me for a week
Back when I started doing installs in the late 90s, I always put the keypad right by the front door, because that's just what you did. Then about 6 years ago this older installer in Phoenix watched me mount one and said flat out, "that's the first thing a break-in guy smashes, put it in the master bedroom." I argued with him in my head the whole drive home, but then I tried it on my next 3 jobs and the customers loved being able to arm the system without walking to the front of the house at night. Now I ask folks where they actually stand when they lock up, and it's almost never the front door. Curious if you all still default to the entry door or have you moved yours too?
