A job at a small museum in Savannah made me rethink my whole approach to motion sensors.
They had these old taxidermy displays with glass cases that would vibrate every time the AC kicked on, setting off the alarm constantly. I ended up switching to dual-tech sensors and adjusting the pulse count to four, which finally stopped the false alarms. Anyone have a better fix for vibration-prone spots like that?

Rethink my whole approach" seems like a lot for a few false alarms. Most places would just turn the sensitivity down and call it a day. Was the museum really getting robbed that often?

Maxp68 has a point about just turning down the sensitivity, but that can leave a real blind spot. Dual-tech with a high pulse count was smart, but I've also seen people add a thin foam pad under the sensor itself to soak up those tiny case vibrations.
