Appreciation post: Saw a perfect retrofit job in a 1920s house in Savannah
I was delivering mail on my route yesterday and saw a full alarm system install in a historic home, with all the wires hidden inside the original molding... it was so clean you couldn't tell it was new. The homeowner said the installer spent two full days just on the wire run to keep the look right. Has anyone else had to do a tricky install in an old building where you couldn't just drill new holes?

My dog grooming shop is in a 1920s building and I'm scared to even hang a picture.

Reminds me of the time I had to snake coax through a plaster ceiling, made me respect the patience @garcia.charles must have. Old buildings fight you every step of the way.
