Client wanted cameras in the kids' rooms, felt off about it

They said it was for safety, but it made me uneasy. I ended up suggesting motion sensors instead, which felt like a better fit.

Wait, why do motion sensors feel better to you? I mean, cameras for safety seem fine to me, idk. Kids should have some privacy, but so much bad stuff can happen.

You're right that kids need privacy but safety matters too. Motion sensors can alert you to movement without recording private moments like cameras do. Why do you think more people don't consider this option?
