Got chewed out by a home owner over a siren placement last Tuesday

I put a siren in the attic like I always do at a job over in Oakwood. The guy called me the next day screaming because his HOA sent a letter about noise complaints from 2 blocks away. Now I gotta go back and move it to the crawl space. Has anyone else dealt with HOAs making you redo basic install stuff?

Nah, siren placement is more about decibels and physics than art.

Doesn't that just make your blood boil when HOAs get involved in stuff they don't understand? I've always found siren placement is more art than science, but moving it to a crawl space is definitely an extra headache you didn't sign up for. Hope the homeowner calms down once you get it sorted, these situations are never fun to deal with.
