Hit 500 installs this week and the number surprised me

I've been doing residential alarm work in the Columbus area for about 4 years now, and I just finished my 500th install on Tuesday. It was a basic two door system with a motion sensor, nothing fancy, but I actually stopped and counted back through my old job sheets to check after I got home. 500 installs means roughly 125 per year, and I guess that just hit different because most of them blur together, especially the cookie cutter new builds. I started wondering if anyone else keeps a tally or tracks how many systems they've put in over their career. Do you guys count, or is it just me that gets thrown off by the milestone numbers?

Used to think milestone numbers were just for show, but 500 really puts the work into perspective when you see it written out like that. Good on you for keeping the sheets to look back at.
