Hot take: hardwired sensors are still better than wireless in commercial buildings
A electrician buddy told me my reliance on wireless sensors was gonna bite me after we did a 3 story office building downtown. He said interference from all the WiFi and Bluetooth would cause false alarms. We ended up running wires for half the zones and he was right - the wireless ones have been glitchy ever since. Has anyone else had a customer push back on spending the extra labor for hardwiring?

Used to swear by wireless until my buddy proved me dead wrong on a three-story job.

Wired is still king when you've got floors between you and the router... I learned that the hard way on a basement to attic run. My buddy showed me to just use a 100ft cat6 cable and a cable protector strip for the doorways. Saves so much headache when the signal drops mid stream or during a big file transfer. Wireless is fine for scrolling but not for real work across multiple floors.
