I finally switched to glass break sensors after a false alarm nightmare

Last Tuesday around 2am my old motion detector tripped again... turned out my cat knocked a potted plant off the kitchen counter. That was the third false alarm in 2 weeks and my monitoring company was getting annoyed. I swapped it out for a Honeywell glass break sensor the next day and mounted it up high near the front window. Has anyone else had motion detectors go off because of pets or random stuff like that?

Wait - how did yours finally figure it out? My cat just stared at the water bowl like it was a puzzle for months. Did you have to change anything about your setup or did she just get it one day on her own?
