Just learned 1 in 4 alarm calls traced to a single cheap door contact, and I've been installing them for years
Saw a breakdown from a supplier rep last week showing that one bargain bin contact style was behind 25 percent of false alarm callbacks in their region. I've probably put in hundreds of those exact ones without thinking twice. Anyone else switching to a different contact on exterior doors, or am I overreacting to one stat?
