Keypad died mid-install in Boise, client watched it fail

Wired up a Honeywell keypad yesterday. All zones checked out. Went to program the panel and the screen just flickered out. Dead. Brand new unit. Client was standing right there watching. Looked at me like I broke it. Swapped in the spare I keep in the truck, worked fine first try. Has this happened to anyone else with fresh keypads? I've seen bad panels but never a bad screen out of the box.

Ugh, that's brutal. A dead screen right out of the box is rare but it does happen. At least the spare saved you from a second trip.
