Lost $200 on a wireless keypad that never paired right
Bought a wireless keypad from a supply house in Austin last winter and spent 6 hours fighting the pairing protocol before I realized it would drop connection every time the panel rebooted, has anyone else had that brand fail on them in the field?

Ditch that thing yesterday. It sounds like you got one of the batches with the firmware bug that never got fixed. I've seen two other techs here brag about switching to hardwired after the same crap. For the price you paid, you could've gotten a used panel that actually holds a connection. Don't waste another hour on support, they'll just send you the same broken unit. Trade it in for something that doesn't hate you.
