Paid $150 for a cellular dialer backup module that turned out to be discontinued and unreturnable.

Installed it on a job in Austin last week only to realize the cellular bands it uses are being shut down next year. Has anyone else gotten burned by gear that looked current but was actually obsolete?

Man those cellular sunset dates keep sneaking up on people. I read somewhere that a lot of these older 3G modules are getting taken offline faster than expected.
