Wire fishing trick that cut my install time in half

I was pulling cable through a finished wall for a panel upgrade in a condo near the coast and kept snagging on insulation every other run. After the third stuck pull, I taped a small neodymium magnet to the end of my fish tape and used a second magnet on the outside to guide it past the trouble spots. Anyone else use magnets this way, or do you have a better method for navigating insulated walls?
