Bought a cheap moisture meter on Amazon and it saved my bathroom tile job

I was installing a new backsplash in my house near the North Valley last weekend and the thinset was taking forever to cure. Grabbed a $14 moisture meter from Lowe's and it showed we had way too much moisture in the old drywall from a hidden leak behind the sink. Has anyone else run into moisture issues with older Albuquerque homes?

Older houses dry out fast enough with our low humidity - sounds like user error.
