Finally got the old tile up in my Nob Hill bathroom without wrecking the subfloor
Used a heat gun on low for 15 minutes on each section and they popped right off. Anyone know a good local supplier for the new cement board?

Heat guns can be a fire hazard if you're not careful. Seems like a lot of work just for some tile, but glad it worked out. Check the big box stores for cement board, they all carry the same stuff.

Tell me about it. I once used a heat gun to strip paint off an old door and nearly lit the whole thing up. The smell was awful, and I had a bucket of water ready the whole time. It's one of those jobs that looks easy online but turns into a real project. Your cement board tip is solid, that's exactly where I ended up going.
