Just found out my 1950s Nob Hill house has aluminum wiring hidden behind the drywall
We bought this place 3 years ago and the inspector never caught it because the previous owner painted over the outlets. Had an electrician out last week for a flickering light and he pulled a switch plate off and showed me the silver wires, said it's a fire risk if anything gets loose. Any of you dealt with this in older Albuquerque homes, and did you do the pigtail fix or just rewire the whole thing?
