Tried vinyl plank over tile in my kitchen last month

I had to pick between ripping out the old tile or laying luxury vinyl plank right over it. Went with the LVP overlay because it was $800 cheaper and took 2 days instead of a week. Has anyone else done this and had the floor feel uneven after a few months?

Oh yeah, the unevenness is from the old tile grout lines showing through if you didn't level it first.

Huh, so my DIY floor is basically a archaeological dig of bad decisions. Just adds character, right?
