Warning: my uncle in Rio Rancho swore I could skip the permit for my water heater swap since it was a "like for like" job
Bernalillo County caught it during the home sale inspection, and that $180 in skipped fees turned into $1,400 plus a 3 week hold up on closing, so has anyone here actually pulled a permit themselves and was the counter process as bad as I fear?

Did the counter give you any grief or was it pretty smooth? Honestly thinking of just doing it myself next time.
