I finally fixed my grandpa's 1970s AM radio after 4 hours of fiddling

The dang thing just hissed at me no matter what I did, so I started poking around and found a loose ground wire hiding behind the tuning capacitor. Has anyone else ever fought with a simple fix that took forever cause you were looking in the wrong spot?
