My 2004 Nokia charged a dead car battery last night

Left the headlights on in the parking lot off Route 9 and my jump pack was dead, but the old Nokia 3120 with its 5V charger actually trickle-fed the battery enough after 40 minutes to turn over. Anyone else ever stretch ancient tech into a weird emergency fix like that?

Tbh, my old Palm Pilot once jumped a lawn tractor after the mower battery died.
