My 2005 flip phone still gets a full week of battery life

Dug my old Motorola out of a drawer last month to use as an alarm clock, and after 20 years it still holds a charge like day one. My current smartphone barely lasts a day, so is anyone else keeping ancient devices around just because they outlast modern ones?

Dug my old Nokia out of the glovebox last year for the same reason. That thing sat in a hot car for months and still powered on with half a charge left. Used it as my gym phone for a while since it survived drops my current one would never make it through. Finally gave it to my nephew for camping trips, dude loves that he can text and call for a week without looking for an outlet. Modern phones are just glass and anxiety with a camera attached.
