My 2007 netbook outlasted my new laptop during a power outage in Birmingham
Lost power last Thursday night for about 6 hours. My work laptop died after 90 minutes, but my old Asus Eee PC with the 4-cell battery ran the whole time. I used it to look up outage maps on the phone's hotspot and even wrote a few emails. The screen is tiny and the keyboard is a joke, but that thing just keeps going. Does anyone else keep a junker around for emergencies that somehow works better than the modern stuff?
