That old Palm Pilot I dug out of a drawer still syncs faster than my phone
I pulled out my Palm Pilot V from a box in my closet last week. The thing still turns on and syncs with my old desktop in like 30 seconds flat. Meanwhile, my new iPhone takes a full 2 minutes just to connect to my car's bluetooth. It's CRAZY how we traded speed for fancy screens. I get that it's more powerful now, but why does a contacts list need to load for 5 seconds? Has anyone else gone back to an old PDA and felt the same frustration?

Is waiting a few extra seconds really that big of a deal though?

The whole world is like that now. Tried to microwave a frozen burrito the other day and it took me three button presses just to get through the menu for defrost. We've replaced simple speed with layers of options nobody asked for. My old alarm clock had two buttons and woke me up faster than my phone does with its sleep tracking and smart alarms that just let me oversleep.
