The VCR I fixed last week still works but nobody will take my tapes

I spent $15 at a garage sale on a working VCR and fixed the tracking with a screwdriver, but every thrift store in town told me they don't take VHS tapes anymore. What do you do with a perfectly good player and 200 tapes when nobody wants them?

200 tapes is a lot. But is it really that big of a deal? You can still watch them at home. Nobody is missing out on some rare VHS copy of The Parent Trap.

My buddy had a collection of about 150 horror VHS tapes and he was the same way. I remember he had this beat up copy of Sleepaway Camp that looked like it survived a flood, but he swore it was "the original pressing" or something. Honestly it just looked like a normal tape to me. We'd watch it at his place and the tracking was all messed up, but he loved it. I get being sentimental but yeah, most of that stuff is just for the shelf, not some hidden gem.
