Why does nobody talk about how Winamp 2.91 still skins better than anything from 2024
I reinstalled Winamp 2.91 on my old XP tower last Tuesday and spent 3 hours just downloading skins off a geocities archive. The jump from the default skin to a brushed metal one from 2001 looks cleaner than Spotify does now, and it loads in like half a second. I'm at 47 skins saved and I can't pick one. Anyone still rocking a specific skin pack I should grab?

Man, this is the same thing I see with cars and furniture, everything old had actual personality and now it's all sleek gray boxes. I mean half the fun was hunting down some weird skin made by a guy named Sk8erBoi in 2003. Maybe it's just me but that whole era of the internet felt like people made stuff for fun instead of for clicks.
