DAE have a customer who argued about a fix even after you showed them the problem?
Had a guy two weeks ago in Denver who swore his fridge was just low on gas, but I found a leak in the condenser coil. He kept saying I was wrong until I pulled the panel and showed him the frost pattern. You ever had someone refuse to believe you even with proof right in front of them?

you just showed him the frost pattern" yeah man that's the moment when they usually shut up but this guy doubled down. I had almost the same thing with a lady who thought her AC was just a dirty filter. I pulled the filter out, it was clean, showed her the broken fan blade, and she still said "maybe it's just the thermostat." Some people are so locked into their own idea they can't see what's right in front of them. It's like their brain short circuits when the proof contradicts what they wanted to believe.
