Found an old service manual for a 1972 Maytag washer in my dad's garage yesterday.

It had a full wiring diagram on a single page, with every part clearly labeled and no surface mount parts at all. I was fixing a new model with the same basic problem last week and the schematic was 12 pages of tiny print. When did the simple stuff get so hard to read?

Is it really that big of a deal though?

Right? My new dishwasher manual is just error codes.

Swear by scanning the QR codes on the sticker inside the door next time. Did that with my washing machine and it pulled up a quick vid showing the actual fix for error code E4. @christopher_singh92 they're a pain but the logic is solid once you learn the pattern.
