Had a call for a fridge in a new condo building downtown last Thursday...

The whole building's units had the same Samsung fridge with a hidden drain line clog. It was behind a sealed panel that took 45 minutes just to get off. Ended up clearing 12 of them in two days because the property manager called me back for the rest. Has anyone else run into this specific model and found a faster way to get that panel off?

Wait, is it possible that sealed panel is there for a good reason? I mean, maybe it keeps things cleaner and stops people from messing with stuff they shouldn't. Idk, if every unit has the same clog, that sounds like a building install problem, not a fridge design one. Could be they just need to warn people not to shove stuff down the drain.

That Samsung panel design feels like modern life, where simple fixes are locked behind needless complexity.

Honestly @hannahs71, you nailed it. I spent an hour trying to get the back off my own model just to swap a battery. Tbh the trick is a hair dryer on low heat around the edges for a minute to soften the glue, then a plastic card to slowly work it open. Still feels like you need a degree in engineering for something that should be simple.
