Heard a rumor about a certain brand's control board and it was actually TRUE
For years I thought the stories about the 2018-2020 Whirlpool dishwasher boards failing were just techs blaming parts. Then I had three jobs in a row last month, all the same model, all with the exact same error code and a fried board. Has anyone else seen this pattern or know a good fix besides a full replacement?

Yeah, I've replaced a ton of those boards myself.

Felix is right about the recall years, but that's what makes it so sneaky. The problem clearly bled into later models they never officially covered. I've seen the 2019 ones fail in the exact same way, with that same scorch mark near the relay. A full board swap is the only real fix I've found that lasts, but you have to check the harness for heat damage too or it'll just fry the new one.
