I'm convinced those universal washer repair kits are a total scam

Bought a $45 kit for a Whirlpool direct drive, but the coupler was cheap plastic that cracked after two months. Anyone found a brand that actually holds up?

Heard a guy on a car podcast saying junkyard parts are hit or miss but sometimes you luck out with a gem. @parkergarcia your neighbor got lucky I guess, hope that part holds up better than my last scavenger hunt did.
