My own fridge taught me a lesson about condensers
Last weekend my Whirlpool fridge started running non-stop and not cooling. I was about to call a part supplier when I pulled the kickplate off and saw the condenser coils caked with 4 years of dog hair and dust. I vacuumed them out with a brush attachment and it dropped the run time by at least 15 minutes per cycle. Has anyone else had a unit that just needed a good cleaning before you started swapping parts?

@kevin_sullivan is spot on. Last year my neighbor's fridge sounded like a jet engine until I spent ten minutes with a vacuum on those coils, and it quieted right down. It's wild how much gunk piles up in there, especially if you've got pets shedding everywhere.

Dude, my buddy’s apartment fridge was doing the same rattle until he pulled it out and found a dust bunny the size of a cat under there? Took ten minutes with the shop vac and it was silent again.
