Took me 11 days to figure out a dryer that kept shutting off, and it was a $4 part I had in my van the whole time
Had a Whirlpool dryer at a house over on Rosemont that kept cutting out after 10 minutes. I swapped the thermostat, the coil, even the control board on the second visit, and still nothing. Turned out the vent flap outside was jammed half open from a bird nest so it was tripping the safety cutout, and the "part" was just 20 minutes with a shop vac. Anyone else ever chase a ghost like that and feel dumb after?
