Used to think contact cleaners were a waste of money, then a Whirlpool tech in Akron proved me wrong
I always just wiped the board with alcohol and called it good, but I had a fridge with a rusted defrost heater connector that kept throwing a fault code. A guy from Akron showed me how to hit the pins with DeoxIT D5 and a pipe cleaner, then reseat them, and the thing has run 8 months now without a peep. I was dead wrong about that stuff being snake oil. Anyone else using DeoxIT on appliance connectors or is there something cheaper that works just as well?
