Vent: bought a $60 "universal" dryer belt kit and it fit zero dryers
Tried one of those universal belt kits on a Whirlpool dryer down in Salem last month. The kit says it fits 300 models but the belt was about an inch too short, so I ended up cutting it and it slipped off after 2 loads. Customer called back mad and I had to eat the $60 plus a free return trip. Ended up ordering the exact OEM belt for $18 and it went on in 10 minutes. Stick with the real part number stamped on the old belt, or has anyone found a universal kit that actually works?
