Why does nobody talk about ice maker filters clogging from sediment?
Been to 4 calls this month where guys replaced the whole ice maker when it was just a $15 filter clogged with hard water junk from the main line. Anyone else seeing this get skipped during routine fridge repairs?

You seeing this more with well water vs city supply or is it everywhere?

What, you think the city adds extra flavor to their water just so you can get a special kind of deposit? Nah, it's everywhere. I've seen tap water from both that leaves a mineral crust you could chisel off a countertop. It's just the universe's way of reminding us that nothing is free, especially not clean pipes.
