A huge oak removal in Madison took three days instead of one

We had a big white oak with a massive cavity full of old concrete where a limb had been cut years ago. The concrete made the saws dull so fast, and we had to keep stopping to sharpen. It was supposed to be a one-day job, but it took us three full days to get it down safely. Anyone else run into something weird like that inside a tree?

Concrete inside a tree has to be the most homeowner fix ever. Did they think it would heal like a cast? I bet that job's final bill looked like a phone number.

Yeah, concrete is bad, but we found a full set of rusty horseshoes once. They were driven in like nails all around the trunk. Tore up the chipper blades real good. What's the weirdest thing you've pulled out of a tree?
