Had a squirrel try to claim my hard hat in Cincinnati last Thursday

I was up in a big oak on a residential job, and a bold little fox squirrel kept running down the limb I was on. He stopped right next to my head, chattered at me, and then tried to grab the brim of my helmet! I had to gently shoo him away with my hand. Has anyone else had wildlife get a little too curious while you're working?

That squirrel was probably just defending its home from a noisy intruder. We're the ones climbing into their trees with all our gear. It's fair for them to get a little annoyed and check us out.

Oh, I see your point, @karen275. I just stayed still and let the curious one sniff my boot, and it lost interest pretty quick.
