Hit my 1,000th hazard tree removal this week and the number caught me off guard
Took down a dying red oak in a backyard off Route 9 in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday and realized when I logged it that it was number 1,000 for me since I started keeping records back in 2016. I never counted before, just sort of did the job, so seeing that number written down was a weird feeling. Most of those were ash and hemlock around here, and maybe 200 of them were within spitting distance of a house or power line, which is the part that keeps you up at night. I still get the same knot in my gut before every one of them. Curious how many of you actually track your removals, or do you just let them blur together?
