I finally stopped using my old climbing line for rigging after a blunt talk from a crew lead in Tacoma
He said 'That line's got more memory than my grandpa, you're fighting it all day.' I switched to a dedicated static line for lowering limbs and my speed on the takedown job last Thursday doubled. Anyone else get called out on a bad gear habit that actually helped?

Ever use the wrong tool for years?

Absolutely. Used a butter knife as a screwdriver for way too long before someone pointed it out. Felt like a total goof.
